Sutil Companhia de Dança, under the direction and choreography of Ádia Anselmi, is based in Curitiba, Paraná (Brazil), and investigates the intimate — the inner relationship between the body and movement, and how this becomes manifest. The company collaborates with artists focused on dance and its possible interrelations.

Since 2017, it has participated in national and international festivals and has received significant awards and grants supporting dance. Currently, it operates on a project-based model.

The company’s artistic research is rooted in the perception of the body-mind-energy interaction, a concept it calls the subtle body. This research is shared with audiences through performances and workshops.

The subtle body as a propeller of movement refers to a state in which the body allows itself to be unguarded, led by sensation. Through sensitive listening, the work invites both performers and the public into experiences where the body reaches and reveals both the surface and the depth of the present moment and presence.
